I have traveled around the World. Bertjan , our guide, ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!! He is the epitome of a professional with a personality that within two weeks I feel as if I gained a family member. He is exquisitely knowledgeable about every aspect of the savanna and South African History. His English is excellent! Funny and extremely knowledgeable guide. Bertjan easily shares is passion about animals, but also about birds, insects and vegetation. We spent 2 days touring Kruger park with him and it was an awesome experience. Bertjan also organized everything for us ( booking park accommodation and organizing food) as we booked our tour at the last minute. He is an very pleasant fellow to spend time with. I was lucky enough to spend 5 months in Africa in 2024. My trip to Kruger with Bertjan and Sun Lion Safaris was one of the most memorable parts of an epic adventure.

You also have to deliver the information interestingly and entertainingly that keeps the guest engaged, and this is where Bertjan truly excels.

He is outgoing, funny, kindhearted and very curious about his guests' different life journeys to get to Africa. His number one priority was making sure we had the best time possible, and he delivered.

We were first into the park and the last to leave in his very spacious and comfortable safari vehicle. We saw much more than expected, and on quite a few occasions we were the only vehicle at a sighting because of his intimate knowledge of the park.

We learned a lot and had a great laugh along the way.
